Pick up and go. Away, without explanations, without writing, calling, or talking. In search of an answer to a question we're sometimes afraid to ask. The story of an escape that isn't an escape. The tale of a journey that isn't a journey. So, what is it? It's the SS of ottod'Ame!

Strong, very strong. Female more than ever. Brazen enough. Need we say it? We say it: beautiful. A Spring Summer that won us over, that of ottod’Ame. A tough production, the kind that tests and remains in the heart together. Always and forever.

Two circles in reverse for a space time conjunction. Forever.

Let’s start like this, skidding on the sand of a road that divides palm trees. From the car radio, music, of course. What? A bit of Morricone and its western atmospheres. A little dance, because a girl must always be able to dance. A little of everything, because Celeste – the protagonist of this season – is like that. She is not in a hurry to go and not afraid to live. And to be seen for who she is.

Can a love story last as long as the world?

Here it is, the uncomfortable question looking for an answer. An answer that, obviously, we don’t have either. However, we can say with absolute certainty that the one with our projects is a really strong love story, one of those that don’t make you sleep for days and then make you fall asleep with a smile on your face. Sure, dark circles sometimes take over, but they’re part of our charm, right?

Celeste's enigma.

Do you know her, Celeste? She is that girl who seems a little frowning but who lights up the room when she smiles. She is the one that convinces you to pick up and go aimlessly. The one who screams when she argues and becomes passionate,the one who sometimes falls asleep in the car and always wants to sing. She is the soul of our story, that of her courageous choice. Choosing to love herself more and more every day.

There are gaps in our lives that take us elsewhere.

And we at almagreal like to explore those gaps. We like to seek and look beyond, imagine beyond what is possible and discover that we were right or even wrong, that the journey was long and sometimes bumpy but full of commitment, laughter, satisfaction. Well present in the here and now, but with a mind ready to launch into elsewhere. You can see it, right?

Yes, for this SS of ottod’Ame, too, we strongly wanted a catalogue. There is also a digital version, but we are in love with what we have on our desk. Every now and then we pick it up, browse it calmly, focus on a shot. And it seems to us –again – a beautiful way to celebrate a collection and a work that have truly left their mark on each of us.
